Baghdad's famous Kadhimain Mosque
"The Hands of Victory" Arch created to show the victory between the Iran and Iraq war. The hands are modeled to Saddam Hussein's hands and is located in Baghdad.
The Great Temple of Hatra is considered to be the sun temple of Hatra, Iraq that has been invaded several times and still gets invaded by people to this very day.
The Great Mosque of Samarra that was once one of the largest in the world. The site was later on bombed in 2005.

Gali Ali Beg waterfall located in Kurdistan, Iraq.
The Euphrates River that begins in Turkey, travels through Syria, and ends in Iraq.
Besides the Euphrates river being one of the most important river in Iraq, the Tigris river shown above also helped define Mesopotamia.
Mountains located in both Northern Iraq and Syria. Home of the "Kurds" which is an Islamic group of people.
The Syrian Desert that covers much of the eastern part of Iraq. The desert helped with the Iraqi soldiers as a supply line.
Physical Regions
This is the vegetation map of Iraq. It is easy to tell with the Key in the right hand corner of the picture that the greener the land gets, the more there is for vegetation and where the yellow is, the desert, there is no vegetation present.

Religious/Ethnic Regions
Below is the map of different Religious and Ethnic groups in Iraq. For the majority groups, they are all pretty much grouped together and not scattered around. The minority groups like Christian and Iranian, however, are scattered on the East Northern and Southern regions of Iraq.
