These are the events that you will see on the timeline I created. Starting back in 750 when Baghdad first became the capital to when Saddam Hussein took over and then was captured. Click on the link above the image to go to Timeglider to see the interactive timeline.
These events are very critical to what made Iraq today. From starting as the first human civilization and being once called Mesopotamia, Iraq has grown tremendously. In 750, Iraq created their very first capital, Baghdad, that is still the capital to this very day. The rest of the events are how Iraq becomes an independent nation by overcoming British power and saying no to Monarchy because Iraqi's wanted a say in their government. After taking control of their country, Iraq began to fall by starting the Iraq-Iran War that ended up getting many other countries involved. This lead to Americans threatening to send missiles if Saddam Hussein didn't leave. Eventually Saddam Hussein was captured and put on trial in the early 2000's. As Iraq tries to get back to the country they once were before war, they struggle to find a way. Every nation has gone through ups and down and Iraq can come back out on top with support and motivation.
